Analysis: Fantasy owners have to be thrilled with what they saw from Rondo. "He looks like himself," coach Brad Stevens said. "He kind of looks like what I saw on film before I got here. I don't think he ever looked like that at any time last year. ... But he is back to full speed. And it's really good to see."

Coach Brad Stevens said before Wednesday night's game that his All-Star point guard is ready to return from the broken hand that cost him most of training camp. Analysis: Rondo was expected to miss six to eight weeks, but in updates this week he hinted that he might be able to come back early. It's been five weeks since he broke his left hand when he slipped in the shower. Stevens said Rondo will wear something to protect the hand during the game. But Rondo won't have any limits on how many minutes he plays.

Analysis: After missing the first half of last season recovering from reconstructive knee surgery, Rondo seemed healthy heading back to camp this fall before he slipped in a shower and injured his left hand. Given an initial recovery period of 6-8 weeks, Rondo would miss only five if he returns on Wednesday.
