Analysis: The left-hander broke his left forearm following a poor relief outing against Tampa Bay on July 6, 2012. The Indians said the injury was self-inflicted, and reports said he was hurt slamming a door as he returned to the Cleveland clubhouse. He was optioned to the minors on July 7, was placed in the Indians' minor league disqualification list the following day and didn't pitch again that season. The union filed a grievance, and Hagadone's service time will increase to 1 years, 127 days, under the agreement the team announced Tuesday. As part of the deal, the option used two years ago will not count.
