Manager Terry Francona said Perez's mechanics were off when he allowed five earned runs - three homers - in a one-inning stint against Trenton. Rocky River Police Chief Kelly Stillman said Wednesday afternoon in a brief statement that investigators suspect they found marijuana in a package sent to the Perez home in suburban Cleveland. The chief says it will be up to the state crime lab to determine the shipment's contents. Analysis: No one has been arrested. Perez hasn't commented and his attorney hasn't responded to a request for comment. Indians general manager Chris Antonetti says in a statement that the team has "talked with Chris" and is "gathering additional information." The Indians often-polarizing closer has six saves this season, but is on the disabled list with an injured right shoulder. |
